Departmentalisation, Specialisation and Outsourcing Opportunities in Pharmaceutical Development Organisations (with some analytical R&D examples)
£ 0.00

All organisations are looking to maximise returns on R&D spending whilst at the same time ensuring a high-quality product succeeds through to commercialisation. There are choices as to how to set up internally/externally and how to achieve the correct balance between speed, cost, quality, flexibility and dependability.

We will briefly cover the principles of Departmentalisation, Specialisation and Outsourcing. We will then discuss examples from participants and what decisions participants have been faced with and overall outcomes. We will present two examples the moderator has initiated and led from his experience as a leader within a global analytical R&D department. We will discuss pros/cons and challenges, along with some ideas and suggestions as to how to overcome the latter.

We will cover these areas:
  • Departmentalisation and specialization in organisations
  • Outsourcing – where it can fit
  • Examples
  • Pros/cons/challenges and ideas on ensuring maximum efficiency
