The Project Manager role is changing – A skill shift is taking place – Are we equipped and ready?
9th December 2025, 4pm GMT (UK time) – online meeting
Today’s project management professionals are dealing with significant changes to conventional ways of working. For example, the widespread adoption of remote working, a recent significant decline in the use of pure waterfall project methodology and corresponding rise in the use of hybrid models (that use elements of both waterfall and agile) and the continued and emerging impact of automation and artificial intelligence on the nature of work. In addition, more and more industries are becoming projectized and the demand for skilled project managers is projected to soar over the coming decade.
Research data indicates that based on these emerging challenges, companies need to rethink how work is organized and at the same time address skill shifts to stay competitive.
Areas we will cover during this session:
Is a skills shift taking place based on the changing nature of work?
What skills should we focus on to bridge the projected project management talent gap?
How do we best address skill gaps?
